Club Picnic & Time Trial

The Club's next race on Tuesday, June 28 is a two-lap TT at Otsego Park, followed by the traditional summer picnic.  All members are invited and encouraged to attend along with their spouses, significant others and/or family members.  As usual the TT will begin at 6:30pm, and the picnic will commence at the conclusion of the suffering.  The picnic is a potluck affair, and each member needs to bring a dish to share.  Additionally, members should also bring their own plates, flatware and serving utensils.  The Club will provide hamburgers, hotdogs, buns, condiments, and drinks.  An alcohol permit has again been purchased, so folks can BYOB.  Keep in mind alcohol consumption can ONLY take place inside the shelter and on the porch at the rear of the building.  DO NOT drink in the parking lot!  Given that I am the responsible person for the rental, in years past I've been admonished by the park rangers regarding members drinking outside the designated areas.  Please don't!

Due to the logistics of the facility reservation process, the Stone Shelter will not be unlocked until 6:00pm.  This makes for a bit of inconvenience, but we've dealt with the same issue in previous years.

Race Worker Sign-Up
Each racing Club member must work two races this season.  The Club's race schedule can be found here.  There are PLENTY of holes, vacancies and general emptiness in the worker schedule!  Please look at the schedule now and then sign-up to work your.  Don't force me to text pleas for workers on every Tuesday morning.  To sign-up e-mail Scott.

Club Texts
If you are not receiving official Club texts via Scott's phone number (419-494-3366), and if you would like to be added to the distribution list, then send me a text with your name and number.  I will add you to the list.  You can verify you're currently on the text distribution list by the receipt of a text containing a link to this newsletter posted on the Club's website.  If you do not receive the link, then you are not on the list.

Federal Tax Exepmt Status
It's official!  The Club has received its 501 (c) (3) federal income tax exempt status from the IRS, and we've been classified as a public charity!  This means that donors who provide appropriation and gifts to the Club can deduct the contribution from their taxes under IRC Section 170.  If you're in need of a charitable donation to reduce your tax liability, then please keep the Club in mind.
